A girls weekend away and we have to say that the service from the staff was faultless. We took the spa package and had 3 course dinner and breakfast and it was of a very high standard and the waiting staff were the most efficient I have experienced and could not do enough for us to make it a pleasurable time.. It was bitterly cold, but we did venture out and the grounds are stunning. The old part of the hotel is steeped in history and we had a lovely evening after dinner in front of the roaring fire in the majestic main hall and strolled into the Wedgewood room. On the Sunday we had the large pool virtually to ourselves and were able to relax in the warm waters and use the steam room and sauna. We said that we will be back later in the year so we can visit Blenheim Palace and Bicester. This weekend was all about relaxing with friends and enjoying a good nights stay with good food. Thank you to everyone.
Beautiful drive in, although it feels like you drive for ages just to get to the hotel. But loved seeing the baby deer. Staff friendly and helpful at check in
Had a drink outside in the bar, which was lovely. Room was lovely and very clean.
Enjoyed the use of the leisure facilities, again very clean and modern.
Upon entering the site, you are welcomed with a wonderful 1.5 mile drive through the countryside, complete with amazing views. The hotel is clearly signposted, so you won’t get lost. Car park is expansive, however is a short walk to the hotel entrance. If you have a lot of luggage you can always drive right up to the entrance to drop off / pick up. We were allocated a lovely room on the ground floor. The room itself was very modern, and well maintained, as well as oozing luxury. It actually felt like a bedroom you’d find in a luxury house, rather than a ‘clinical’ hotel bedroom. High quality room, and that alone is enough to make me want to stay again, coupled with the amazing countryside views from the room. Another nice touch was the spray left on the pillow, which helps you fall asleep / wake up fresh.
